Maths in Motion Event – Brambles Primary Academy

22nd November 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Invitation to Brambles Primary Academy Maths in Motion Day

On Friday 22nd November your child has been one of four children selected to attend a Maths in Motion Day at Brambles Primary Academy.  The children will use the ‘Maths in Motion’ software package  and recreate the thrills and spills of high speed motor racing as each driver gets to set up their own racing car using a mixture of basic maths skills and personal decision making. They will also enjoy some outdoor fun during the day.  Children will be travelling by car with Mrs Cairns, leaving at 9.00am and returning to the academy by 3.05pm. Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time, as they will have to leave very promptly.

Children will be provided with a free lunch in the dining hall at the school with a wide range of hot and cold meals and tasty desserts. There is no cost for this activity day.  Children must wear full school uniform, so they can be easily identified during the visit.

Christmas Fayre Raffle - tickets on sale now from main office!!

Some Year 5 DPA pupils have arrived in London a day of fun chess activities at the London Chess Classic 2024. \the event is taking take at the Emirates Stadium, North London, the home of Arsenal Football Club!

As well as activities for school children, the event includes an elite Grandmaster tournament, this time featuring Women’s World Champion, Ju Wenjun; current British Champion, Gawain Jones; defending LCC champion, Mickey Adams; and the UK’s youngest Grandmaster, fifteen-year-old Shreyas Royal. It looks very 'Queen's Gambit' esque!

These lucky pupils (chosen by their chess tutor) with take part in chess lessons, meet a Grandmaster and compete in a chess tournament!

We are sending you all our best wishes!

Thank you to C2C, who have part-funded this experience for our children, as well as parents and the school.
