On Thursday 9th December Year 2 will be visiting Danby Moors Centre as part of our Science curriculum.
During the day, the children will enjoy a number of countryside activities accompanied by both Academy and National Park Authority staff. The children will follow a story trail around the grounds of the centre searching for characters and will explore then world of nocturnal animals both inside and outside. Hopefully there will also be time to warm up with hot chocolate in the magical yurt!
On this occasion, the Moors Centre will kindly be covering the total cost of the travel. A contribution of £6 per child will be required for the activities. Please pay this by Friday 3rd December.
Children will require a packed lunch as well as their own drink with a re-sealable top. Please indicate below whether you would like school to provide your child with a packed lunch or if your child will be bringing their own packed lunch with them.
They must wear suitable footwear (wellies or trainers) and clothing as they will be walking in the countryside for most of the afternoon. Tracksuit trousers are advised along with their usual school top and jumper. In addition to this, please ensure your child has a warm, water-proof coat and hat.
We will be arriving back at school for collection at the usual time.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Theaker
