On Friday 29nd November, year 6 are going to Eden Camp. We will leave the academy at 9.00am and return at 3:00pm. The school will provide packed lunches for those children who receive a free school meal, however if you normally pay for your meals then you must provide a packed lunch for your child.
We ask for a contribution of £6 for the trip to help cover the cost of the transport and the venue. This is an outdoor trip and in the likely event that the day will be wet, please ensure your child brings a waterproof coat and sensible shoes.
The trip has been heavily subsidised by the school, therefore the cost to parent/carers for your child’s place is £6.
Please can money be returned to school by Wednesday 27th November.

Some Year 5 DPA pupils have arrived in London a day of fun chess activities at the London Chess Classic 2024. \the event is taking take at the Emirates Stadium, North London, the home of Arsenal Football Club!
As well as activities for school children, the event includes an elite Grandmaster tournament, this time featuring Women’s World Champion, Ju Wenjun; current British Champion, Gawain Jones; defending LCC champion, Mickey Adams; and the UK’s youngest Grandmaster, fifteen-year-old Shreyas Royal. It looks very 'Queen's Gambit' esque!
These lucky pupils (chosen by their chess tutor) with take part in chess lessons, meet a Grandmaster and compete in a chess tournament!
We are sending you all our best wishes!
