On Friday 15th November, we will be raising money for Children In Need and this year’s theme is “Together we can change young lives”. In the academy, the children (and staff) will be able to wear anything spotty, items in bright colours or clothes linked to Children in Need on the day for a £1 donation.
The children can also bring in any loose change to fill our outlines of Pudsey Bear in their classrooms.
During the day, the children will be taking part in a range of activities to raise awareness of Children in Need.
We hope that you are able to support us with this very worthwhile charity, and we look forward to an exciting day!

Some Year 5 DPA pupils have arrived in London a day of fun chess activities at the London Chess Classic 2024. \the event is taking take at the Emirates Stadium, North London, the home of Arsenal Football Club!
As well as activities for school children, the event includes an elite Grandmaster tournament, this time featuring Women’s World Champion, Ju Wenjun; current British Champion, Gawain Jones; defending LCC champion, Mickey Adams; and the UK’s youngest Grandmaster, fifteen-year-old Shreyas Royal. It looks very 'Queen's Gambit' esque!
These lucky pupils (chosen by their chess tutor) with take part in chess lessons, meet a Grandmaster and compete in a chess tournament!
We are sending you all our best wishes!
