This week, our assemblies were based on the theme of Teamwork on Monday with our Character Education virtue of kindness. These followed on well from the Children in Need theme of “One Kind Word” last week and the teamwork classes demonstrated when creating their dances.
We managed to raise £189.90 for Children in Need; thank you for all the kind donations sent in. The voting has been popular for the Strictly style dances created by each class. These are available via Facebook, and we will close the voting on Monday morning announcing the winners early next week.
Many thanks to the Fire Brigade who came into the academy on Monday and delivered three assemblies to highlight the importance of road safety. The children took away very important messages that are particularly important as winter is approaching. Check out our Gallery page for more photographs!
We would like to support the Teesside at Christmas Appeal who are looking to give filled shoe boxes of gifts and essentials to those who would go without at Christmas. Please use the link below or look at the posters below to find details of what is recommended to go in the shoe boxes. If anyone would like to donate a filled shoe box or to send items in that we can make boxes up in school, then please do so by Monday 29th November, so we can give them to this small, local charity.
