To comply with government guidelines, we have needed to change the way we serve lunches to ensure school ‘bubbles’ do not mix and that all children remain safe throughout the school day.
In response to feedback from parents and children, we will be revising our menu from next week. As of Monday, there will now be three hot options for children to choose from (and always two topping options for jacket potatoes) each day.
As always, we embrace any feedback and are constantly reflecting and refining our systems to ensure we offer the best possible experience for our pupils as well as ensuring absolute safety within the academy.
Thank you for your continued support.

As part of our participation in the National School Breakfast Programme, we will be taking delivery of our first breakfast packs of the term next week. All children will be bringing them home. These will include cereal, bagels and porridge to provide enough breakfasts for 2 weeks.
All children will also be provided with fruit for a breaktime snack.
Please return updated information request sheets to the academy as soon as possible, and thank you to everyone who has already done so. It is really important that we have up to date contact and medical details about your child and that the other agreements are returned.
Teachers will continue to send messages via Marvellous Me to share information about your children. If you require any updated log in details, please contact the academy office.
All the children have been undertaking a whole school portraits art project over these first two weeks. Ask your child about the techniques they have learnt and the successes they have had. We are using the work to update our academy entrance display (photos to follow).
As we are unable to have choir in school at the current time, please continue to look out for new song videos, posted weekly on Facebook and led by Mr Nixon, for the children to practice at home.
We just want to say a huge THANK YOU to the Ladies of Steel and all the associated support linked to the summer weekend packed lunch deliveries. Over 4500 lunches have been delivered during the last few months – an amazing achievement!
We are so grateful to the Coronavirus Community Support Fund distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, Beyond Housing UK, Redcar, Marske and New Marske Coronavirus Support Service, local volunteers, Beyond Housing and of course the Ladies of Steel team led by Chris and Debbie. You have made such a positive impact on our community.
Hope you have a lovely weekend and stay safe.
