On Friday 16th October, we will be raising money for Show Racism the Red Card and the theme is “Wear Red Day”. In the academy, the children (and staff) will be able to wear anything red on the day for a £1 donation (please no PJs/nightwear).
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the donations will be collected in a bucket as the children enter school at all entrances (any loose change also welcome!)
During the day, the children will be taking part in some activities to raise awareness of this extremely important and prevalent issue.
We hope that you are able to support us with this very worthwhile charity, and we look forward to an exciting day!
Due to the majority of our P.E. lessons currently taking place outdoors, please could we ask that the children bring in tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie / tracksuit top to wear for their lessons, so they are warm, especially as the weather gets cooler. Many thanks for your support.

Full detailsWe currently have a Lunchtime Supervisor position available. This position would be to work with children across the primary age range. Please see the link below for more information.

All children have taken home another breakfast pack to support them having nutritious breakfasts at home before coming to school to start their learning.
As our Relationships theme focussed on friendships, we decided to link this to an academy wide art project focussing on observational drawing and, in particular, looking at ourselves!
In a celebration of what makes each and every one of us unique, a portrait of EVERY child in the academy is proudly hung in our portrait gallery in the academy entrance.
Each October Show Racism the Red Card holds its annual Wear Red Day, and we have signed up to take part in this on Friday 16th October. More details to follow.
Look out for your child’s home learning sheet with ideas on how you can support them with their curriculum work at home and for activities to undertake. Due to restrictions, we are asking that activities or tasks are photographed and send to the class teacher via the class email address provided. Thank you for your support.
Thank you to everyone who has returned these agreements, but we still have children who have not brought them in. The deadline is Monday for returns. A second form will be sent home to these children, and it is essential that they are returned to the academy asap to allow the children to take part in the new Lexia programme and to undertake other computing activities.
Life is far from perfect, but there are lots of reasons for optimism. Setting positive goals for the future gives our lives a sense of direction and purpose. And although we face many challenges there are also lots of reasons to stay hopeful. By consciously choosing our priorities we can overcome issues, make progress and focus on what really matters.
