Year 6 Visit to Flamingoland
Tuesday, 28th June, 2016, a day to remember! Twenty-four very excited and wide-awake children and five (anxious and wondering) adults set off on a memorable treat to Flamingo Land, near Pickering. This was the pinnacle of rewarding outstanding behaviour for a special group of Y6 children. The day started sunny, and the weather matched the children’s mood. Smiles and laughter were the order of the day.
Arriving at the theme park, after what seemed an endless journey, the children eagerly disembarked and forged ahead with the adventure of the day. There were no limits to the rides the children could go on – for some, the bigger, faster and higher the better!
Despite the sunshine surrendering to torrential rain, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the children – and adults – and they all thoroughly enjoyed the thrills, excitement and adrenalin-rush of this memorable Yorkshire experience. One of the children said it had been the best day of her life. An amazing, fun-filled time was experienced by all, and one that will last in the memories of the children for a long time.
