Running, jumping, skipping throwing, balancing and bouncing were all in a morning’s work for the academy’s Year 3 children, as they attended a Fun Fit Festival at Redcar Academy, on Tuesday, 7th February.
Along with other schools, the lucky children, from mainstream and discrete classes (twenty-five in total) came together for a morning of fitness through fun. Every activity was vigorously enjoyed and attempted by enthusiastic children, and they all gave 100% – even if they couldn’t skip or bounce on a space hopper! Watching was infectious, and it made you want to join it.
Lots of fun, laughter and encouragement made this a very worthwhile and enjoyable event for all those involved. As usual, the behaviour of the children was impeccable, and their support for each other was a joy to witness. Although tired and red-faced – just some of them – the children never gave up, and they were determined to complete every activity.
Our children never cease to amaze and impress us, and today they delivered once again. Well done to you all.
