Class 2A and 2R have been working with Chef Matty this week. As part of the unit “A Child’s War”, we have been learning about what children may have eaten during World War 2 and how rationing affected everyone. We made a Lord Woolton pie which was a popular dish during wartime. It was unusual as there was mashed potato in the pastry, and porridge oats were used instead of meat. The day was enjoyed by all of us!
Thank you to Matty for cooking with our children.
