22nd November 2019 -welcome to the weekly Dormanstown update of news, events and what is coming up in the next week.

Each week you will find links to various events that have taken place in the academy that week and also diary details of what will be coming up.

Christmas!

Christmas dates have now been added to the school calendar.

Christmas lunch is Tuesday 17th December – if your child is on packed lunches and would like a Christmas lunch please contact the main office by Friday 29th November.

Other Notices ….

New arrangements for the gates on a morning – As from Monday 25th November the gates will be open from 8.30am, and the doors will be open at 8.40am to 8.55am. After this time, the gates will be locked and any pupils that arrive after 8.55am will need to come in via the main entrance where they will be marked in as late. We thank you for your continued support.

Mrs Clark, Y4/5C – Mrs Clark has decided to take a break from teaching at this present time due to personal circumstances. We wish her well for the future and thank her for her time at Dormanstown Primary Academy.

Book Token Campaign – We will be taking part in The Sun’s book token campaign to collect 3500 book tokens in order to receive over £600 worth of free books from Nursery to Y6 by Harper and Collins. We would love it if you could support the school in collecting these.

Poppy Appeal 2019 – Thank you to all our children and families for their donations; we raised £138.46.

Marvellous Me – Please remember to sign up for Marvellous Me to receive updates from members of staff about your child’s achievements and other notices. Please see the academy main office for further details.
