For our first day with our new topic ‘Ancient Egyptians’, 5S invited their parents along to take part in their engage day. Working together, the adults and children got creative to design and construct their own ‘Egyptian Death Mask’, famously known thanks to Tutankhamun. It was a great morning, allowing parents to actively take part in the children’s learning, and inspire some already brilliant homework pieces. The death mask was used to cover the faces of deceased pharaohs and was intended to show their beauty as they passed over into the after life. Take a look at some of ours, do you think we’d pass as beautiful?
